Sept 14 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1115 GMT on Wednesday.
HAMZA - A car bomb killed 15 people and wounded 46 others when it exploded by a restaurant in the southern Iraqi town of al-Hamza, just south of Hilla, 100 km (60 miles) south of Baghdad, a hospital source said.
HABANIYA - A bomb attached to a military bus killed two Iraqi soldiers and wounded 10 others when it exploded at an army base in Habaniya, 85 km (50 miles) west of Baghdad, army sources said.
NEAR ISKANDARIYA - Gunmen killed four people near Iskandariya, 40 km (25 miles) south of Baghdad, a police source said.
BAGHDAD - Gunmen in a speeding car using silenced weapons attacked a police checkpoint, killing two policemen and wounding another in Baghdad's northern Qahira district, an Interior Ministry source said.
BAGHDAD - A bomb attached to a car parked inside a garage wounded three people when it went off in Baghdad's western Ghazaliya district, an Interior Ministry source said.
KIRKUK - One civilian was seriously wounded when he escaped from gunmen trying to kidnap him in central Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, a local police source said.
MOSUL - A roadside bomb went off near a police patrol and wounded one policeman in western Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, a local police source said. (Compiled by Baghdad bureau)
